1. When did you first go on line?
I Got online in late 1999. Not long before tripod stopped allowing remote linking. So all the premade sigs i had been using just disappeared and i had no clue why.
2. Did you start with MSNTV?
I started with a webtv classic and didn't like the little key board so i went back and got the plus. Still running the original unit. Figure it will blow up any day.
3. Do you now have a PC and MSNTV ?
Yes i have an older pc i bought from my daughter so she could get a new one. Hope to get a new one this year.
4. Which do you use most?
I use webtv 80 percent of the time and the pc 20.
5. What is your passion on line?
Learning new things, building stuff and helping people is my passion in life and pretty much the same online. The only real difference is in real life i normally build from the ground up. But online it is from the top down.lol
6. What led you into your passion....who was your
mentor?
And i really loved these guys sites but their gone now.
R_Endymion,RTcamm
I learned a ton from those two.
There have been so many great sites and helpful people along the way that i could never name them all. Many are gone now.
7. What got you started scripting?
Once i found out i could change the colors and stuff in sig codes i was hooked. Then it was testbeds that i really liked. Especially ones that generated codes so i didn't have to type.
8. How did you learn?
It was pretty easy once i learned to cc&p.
There were so many help sites and free codes to play with it was just a matter of time and sometimes determination.
9.What advice would give someone who would like to learn how to script?
Just dive right in. Study, practice, test and stay determined.
Repetition helps me a lot. If i play with something long enough i will start to understand it.And ask lots of questions.
10. What, in your opinion, is the hardest part of scripting?
For me it is deciding what to learn first. I still have not finished learning html. But i am also trying to learn css, cgi, php, and javascript.
11. What new endeavors are you pursuing?
Learning php i think is going to be my next. It looks a lot easier than the rest of the things i have been trying to learn. I am even thinking about buying a book on the subject. But this is all just fun and hobby for me right now.
12. How many web hosts have you had.
My first site was at anglefire for 2 days. Then it was bug.com, terrashare, worldzone, topcities, and geocites. I finally got a paid account at the zone. Then after they were hacked i was off to dreamserver to to experience another hacking. LOL !
I sure have learned a lot along the way but it is just a drop in the bucket compared to what is still out there. Nice to know there will always be something new to learn for the rest of my life.
