Tandem Talks
Meet Lily

1. When did you first go on line?

A. March 20, 2003. My dearest long-time friend hated not being able to email me. She gave the webtv to me for my birthday gift that year.

2. Did you start with MSNTV?
A. Yes, I have never owned a computer. This lbb was my first experience online. Getting it hooked up and working is another story. LOL

3. Do you now have a PC and MSNTV ?
A. No, I really haven't had the desire to go beyond what I do with this marvelous little box. I did change from my RCA classic to a plus model last summer.

4. What is your passion on line?
A. Tables and Scopes are still my favorite thing but I'm also addicted to collecting images and working with them.

5. What led you into your passion....who was your mentor?
A. It took me a while to find the newsgroups after getting online. I decided to take a course of table lessons. LOL I barely knew what html was then. One day Paulie posted his button art in the group. I was hooked.

6. What got you started ?
A. I started corresponding with Paulie after seeing his button art. He led me to THE newsgroup. I remember how amazed I was. I was determined to learn to do the things I was seeing in the group.

7. How did you learn?
A. I bugged a lot of people. I learned best by taking things someone else had done and playing with it. And asking lots of questions. Sally and Becky have answered many questions for me. I still ask for a lot of help from Sally. I still have so much to learn.

8.What advice would give someone who would like to learn how?
A. To have the confidence that you can do it. Hang out in the group a lot, don't hesitate to ask questions and never, never give up!!

9. What, in your opinion, is the hardest part ?
A. The not giving up. LOL It doesn't come easy for me. The desire to do it is all important. Working with grads is the hardest thing for me. My favorite is trying and using the different scripts. i love byte budget.

10. What new endeavors are you persuing?
A. I've just barely gotten into my first domain site and just got my first table art site done. I want to work now on getting some new stuff done to add to my humble art page beginnings.

11. What's the funniest thing that you remember about being on MSNTV ?
A. Funny would be questionable but memorable yes! I'll never forget it. I wanted to forward a post I found one day in a newsgroup to a friend. I made a couple of unflattering comments to my friend about the post. Instead of forwarding it I had hit the respond link. My comments posted in that thread to the whole world. I'll never forget it. It was a long time ago but to this day I double and triple check the addy when I forward anything. LOL
