Set The Table

We 've all used marquees at one time ot another for various effects...but there is a way to fade in an entire page of them to make some very interesting pages.. This was originally done by Tommy Chong. Example

A few tips about using this code...Leave the behavior as "slide" and the scrollamount as "700". Those keep the text on the screen. Since these are marquees, the only way to center them on the page is to div align center and ALSO make the width of the marquee the width of the text. If it is too short, part of the word will not show...too wide and it will default left. The loop is the length of time before that marquee appears on the screen. The size, color and transparency of text should be altered how you like. The page can also have a background and the text appear over it, in transparency. These special effects can give your webpage an added zest....This can also be used to preload your next page if it is graphics heavy. Flo's Marquee Attributes page is a good one for learning what marquees are all about. Marquees

See what fun you can have.
